Chad Nichols has been playing in Austin's Red River scene for decades now, with bands like The Transgressors, The Damn Times, Enduro, and T. Tex Edwards & Out on Parole. His solo act combines songs he wrote or learned along the way with new material that finds him stretching his songwriting chops to new places. The unifying force behind them all is his signature dark baritone. Nichols draws from country, rock and roll, rockabilly, post-punk, and power pop to create a genre he calls Texas Noir.
