Rapper and songwriter Kofi Kusi is a pharmacist in research and photographer whose craft as an artist has evolved over time. Raised in a Christian home and still holding on to his faith, KooKusi spent his early years as a writer solely invested in urban gospel music. As he morphs from Slykid to KooKusi (his father's name), he focuses on addressing issues of mental and socio-cultural relevance and intends to use his media and musical artistry to augment his neuroscience research in bringing change.
